Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy is a type of talk therapy designated to improve your mental health and wellbeing.

Q: I've never talked to anyone before; how does this work?

First, you need to understand that is okay to ask for help. Once you know that, give us a call or send us an email to ask questions and/or schedule an appointment.

Q: What if I need more than talk therapy?

Medication, in conjunction with therapy, is some times needed. Medication can be effective, but it alone cannot solve all life's issues. We have a MD that prescribes medication in-house. In some instances, if a referral is needed, we will work to get you the proper treatment.

Q: What if I need a psychiatrist or psychologist?

If we feel you need help beyond what we can offer and a referral is needed, we will work to get you the proper treatment.

Q: Why should I talk to someone about my issues?

A mental health therapist is a professional that is trained to help. We listen to you without judgment, help you approach your situation in a new way, and teach you skills to guide you to a happier, healthier life.

Q: Are my sessions confidential?

What you discuss in your session is completely confidential. We are compliant with HIPPA rules and regulations. You can view the Privacy Notice Page to answer further questions on this topic.

Q: Is this an out-patient clilnic?

Yes, we are completely outpatient. You and the therapist will determine the frequency of visits. If you are ever needing to go to an in-patient facility, we partner with facilities throughout Mississippi, Alabama, the Florida panhandle, Louisiana and Texas.
We strive to make sure you get the care you need.
